Chris is an operations executive and board director with a background in corporate law. Chris currently serves as a Vice President – Real Estate, Transportation & Grounds, and Strategic Initiatives within the Facilities Services (general services) division at Stanford Health Care, Stanford University’s adult academic hospital and part of the $10 billion Stanford Medicine academic medical system located in the heart of Silicon Valley, California. At Stanford Health Care, Chris provides oversight for several business units and owns a $350 million budgeting process which impacts 2,000 staff and millions of visitors and patients on an annual basis. Chris leads the enterprise real estate strategy and portfolio management for Stanford Health Care and its affiliated entities, overseeing more than 350 locations totaling over 9 million square feet, aligning real estate investments with long-term clinical growth. Chris serves on several governance committees which include utilities, transportation, and planning, all of which have a huge emphasis on sustainability and help to keep the $10 billion health system operating. Chris is most passionate about solving big strategic and mission critical challenges and is recognized for his ability to engage, organize and galvanize people into action – both at the board level and when working with service delivery staff. Chris holds a Juris Doctor, Certificate in Health Law, Master of Health Administration, and Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Management and Political Science. With a fast-paced, tech-forward and personable leadership style that focuses on outcomes and continuous improvement, Chris and his team have achieved a lot together, and the successes have been recognized with industry awards including ‘Stanford Health Care Budget Management Leader Award’, ‘SSM Health Innovators Award’, ‘Value Champion’, ‘Up & Coming’, ‘Corporate Counsel of the Year: Health Care’, and ’30 Under 30’.
